Our elders are fantastic resources for not only family genealogies,but also history in general. For several years my students have interviewed older relatives and neighbors using these questions. Students were amazed at the information their elders had and elders were pleased that younger people wanted to know about their lives. Some students recorded the interviews and were able to watch them again and again. These interviews became treasured to families after the elder passed away. Remember with interviews there is no time like the present!
