Ogdensburg Battery Company

I found this photo in my office the other day. It shows the Ogdensburg Battery Company, which was located at 209-213 Catherine St. The building was owned by Robert Murray, who resided at 119 Gates St. The Ogdensburg Urban Renewal Agency purchased the building for $30,000 in August of 1973. The photo was taken in 1973 prior to being torn down. #ogdensburghistory #urbanrenewal

313 Isabella Street (Another View)

This photo shows the same building I posted yesterday (313-323 Isabella St. and 326-328 Crescent St.). Both photos were taken in 1971 prior to urban renewal. #ogdensburghistory

313-323 Isabella Street

I did a little digging in the office today and discovered this photo of 313-323 Isabella St. & 326-328 Crescent St. This property was owned by the Hasbrouck family from 1805-1948. Obviously the buildings weren't from 1805, but pretty cool. The photo was taken in 1971. #ogdensburghistory

Mallette Property

I found this photo, which was taken in about 1971, the other day in the office. It shows the home of Leonard and Mary Mallette located at 118 Washington Street. The person sitting on the front steps could possibly be Mr. Mallette. This home was previously owned by Marjorie Corbett. Before Ms. Corbett it was owned by Alonzo and Abigail Havens. The home was demolished during Urban Renewal. #ogdensburghistory #urbanrenewal #mallette

J.J. Murphy Plumbing and Heating Building

The J.J. Murphy Building was located at 317 State Street, which would be right next door to Nick Fodor's Law Offices today. This photo was taken in about 1970. Jeremiah (J.J.) Murphy and his wife Geraldine owned the building until it was purchased by the Ogdensburg Urban Renewal Agency. #ogdensburghistory #urbanrenewal
